Overview:
We are seeking a Software Engineer IV to join our team and work closely with the ESS-IT team and business stakeholders to support the Electric Settlements System (ESS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the current production system, developing technical designs, creating test cases, producing system documentation, and enhancing and maintaining ESS application software. Additionally, this role will involve analyzing data patterns for development, production support, and ad-hoc reporting.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in software engineering and application support
- Strong technical background in PL/SQL, .NET, and SQL
- Familiarity with GitHub, AutoSys, and job scheduling tools
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Oracle Utilities Rules Language (Lodestar)
- Experience with COBOL
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain technical designs for system enhancements
- Create detailed test cases for new and existing features
- Produce and update system documentation as required
- Enhance, modify, and maintain the applications software
- Analyze data patterns for use in development, production support, and ad-hoc reporting
